Drill: A Unified SQL-based API for All Your Data

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Apache Drill is an open source, distributed, schema-free SQL engine that works directly with data in NoSQL databases, cloud storage, Hadoop and relational databases. Drill can query data in any supported data source, and even join data across sources in a single query via a universal namespace. In addition to ODBC and JDBC interfaces, Drill exposes a RESTful API, enabling application developers to issue queries directly from web and mobile applications, without developing custom data pipelines or manually integrating data from multiple sources. In this talk we'll provide an overview of Apache Drill and show you how to get started leveraging its SQL API on MongoDB, Elasticsearch, flat files (eg, JSON logs) and other sources.
