The Death of the Integration Developer

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Is a developer who specializes in integration still necessary or have APIs simplified and changed the work to the point the expertise is no longer needed? Where a central integration development team exists, can the work just be distributed to the application development teams with access to the right APIs and eliminate this bottleneck? The amount of integration development is not being reduced but is in fact growing with more SaaS based applications and cloud deployments. So why would the integration developer be less necessary? This session will focus on a real world use case at Adobe where the Integration Development Team was eliminated in favor or a more distributed self-service model. We will discuss the architecture, tools, skills, and organization required to do this. Based on what you hear, you can decide if the role of the integration developer is really dead.
