Introduction to Machine Learning with Python's scikit-learn

This talk will be a hands-on introduction to doing Machine Learning with Scikit-Learn in Python. We'll cover how to choose an approach for your model, the scikit-learn API for modeling and exploring some of the ways to share your work. This talk will assume basic familiarity with Object-Oriented Python, IPython Notebooks and some experience working with and reasoning about data.

Isaac Laughlin teaches Data Science theory and practice as part of Galvanize's 12-week Data Science Immersive course. Prior to joining Galvanize he worked on industry-leading models for automotive price prediction at TrueCar.com, built Creds.me--a crowd-sourced platform for predicting the future, and was an RA at the Federal Reserve Board. He has a Masters Degree in Operations Research from the University of Wisconsin Madison.
